QR Drug Test Scanner App

Project Description

I need a cross-platform mobile app (iOS and Android) that makes onsite drug testing almost effortless. As soon as a user points the camera at the QR code printed on a consumable test kit, the app should recognise whether it is a 5- or 10-panel device and instantly display the corresponding layout on screen. From there, the same camera session captures the test cassette, reads the control and test lines, and returns a clear positive/negative result for each panel.

Users will sign up or log in with a straightforward email-and-password flow; no social or biometric options are required. Once inside, the experience splits by subscription tier. Basic users can run tests locally on the handset, but anything cloud-related—automatic result backup, multi-user collaboration, PDF reporting and remote dashboard access—stays locked until they upgrade to Premium. The subscription mechanism should be handled with the standard in-app purchase frameworks for iOS and Android, including free-trial and renewal logic.

Because accuracy and speed are non-negotiable, I will validate the build with real test kits under mixed lighting conditions. I expect:

• Robust QR detection that never confuses similar codes on outer packaging
• Line-reading accuracy of 99 % or better, confirmed across at least 100 sample photos
• Secure user accounts stored in an encrypted database and synchronised only for Premium subscribers
• A clear, friendly UI that guides the operator step-by-step and stores a timestamped history of every test run
• Cleanly structured source code (React Native, Flutter or another modern cross-platform stack) handed over in a private repo, plus build instructions that let me compile for both stores on my own machine
