Senior Full-Stack Developer for Automotive E-Commerce

As we scale our platform, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, and modern frontend frameworks, who can not only build complex systems but also own deployments, infrastructure, and production reliability for a high-traffic platform.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end development and deployment using Node.js, Express/NestJS, and Next.js.
Architect and build scalable, distributed backend systems for a high-traffic automotive e-commerce marketplace.
Design, develop, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs, backend services, and data models.
Build secure, performant, and responsive frontend web applications.
Own deployment processes, environment configurations, and release management.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable and fast deployments.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS) including servers, storage, networking, and security.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking to ensure system stability.
Optimize system performance across databases, caching layers, APIs, and frontend rendering.
Implement core platform features such as authentication, authorization, payments, orders, inventory, and vendor workflows.
Improve system fault tolerance, scalability, and resilience.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, enforcing best practices, code quality, and architectural standards.
Collaborate closely with product, UI/UX, business, and operations teams to deliver high-impact features.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)

6–10 years of experience as a Full-Stack or Backend-focused JavaScript developer.
Deep expertise in Node.js with frameworks such as Express.js.
Proven experience building and operating large-scale, high-traffic production systems.
Strong frontend experience with Next.js.
Solid understanding of MongoDB, MySQL and NoSQL data modeling.
Experience with Redis or similar caching systems.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and API design.
Hands-on experience with message queues / event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.).
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.).
Experience managing deployments, production environments, and system monitoring.
Ability to make and own long-term technical and architectural decisions.
Nice to Have

Experience building e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
Exposure to the automotive domain (spare parts, logistics, vendors).
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Experience with event-driven, real-time, or streaming systems.
Strong skills in system design, documentation, and technical leadership.
