Cross-Platform 1-to-1 Video Chat

Project Description

I want a lightweight, production-ready mobile app for both iOS and Android that does one thing exceptionally well: connect two users in a live video call. No accounts, passwords, or social logins—just open the app, create a call or enter a code/link, and start talking.

Only one-to-one calling is required; group rooms, screen sharing, and text chat are intentionally left out so the build stays lean and responsive. A clean, minimal interface with a single “Create / Join Call” flow is enough.

Deliverables
• Compiled apps ready for TestFlight and internal testing, then final App Store and Google Play submission
• Full source code (WebRTC-based in native, Flutter, or React Native—whatever you do best, as long as it meets store guidelines)
• README covering build steps, TURN/STUN setup, and how to swap out any API keys

Acceptance criteria
• Two devices connect in under three seconds on Wi-Fi and 4G
• Video and audio remain in sync for at least a 20-minute session
• App size below 40 MB per platform
• Zero crashes during a 30-minute Firebase Test Lab crawl

If you’ve shipped similar peer-to-peer video apps with WebRTC, Agora, or Twilio Calling SDKs, I’d love to see your work and move forward quickly. Show More
