Restaurant Retail POS Suite

Project Description

I need a single point-of-sale application that can fluidly switch between restaurant table service and standard supermarket checkout. The system must include live table management for the dining area, fast order processing for both plated meals and scanned retail items, and a shared inventory engine that updates stock levels in real time no matter where the sale originates.

Cross-device performance is critical. The same interface should adjust gracefully on full-size desktop screens, Windows , run responsively on in-store tablets, and stay fully functional on handheld android for staff who take orders on the floor.

To keep the project clear, I will consider the work complete when I can:
• Install the software on at least one desktop, one tablet, and one mobile phone and log in with role-based accounts.
• Open, seat, split, and close tables from the dining module while simultaneously ringing up barcode items in the retail module, with every transaction reflected instantly in the inventory records.
• Export a basic sales and stock report that matches the live data.

Please build with the language, framework, and database you know best; just include source code, concise setup steps, and any third-party license notes so I can maintain the system after delivery.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable full-stack developer to support the development of a professional POSSYSTEM. The system includes multiple variants (Restaurant POS, Retail POS, Ordering System, and related modules). Our solution combines local and cloud functionality, integrates with various peripherals, and requires a modular architecture for long-term scalability.

Your Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain RESTAURANT-POS features (orders, payments, printing, kitchen display, reporting, user management).
• Build and optimize front-end interfaces for restaurant POS, retail POS, and admin portal.
• Integrate hardware devices such as:
 – Cashmatic 460
 – PAX / Viva.com terminals (A35, A920)
 – Receipt printers (Epson ESC/POS)
 – Scales (Bizerba, Elzab, Neptune2, Aclas OS6)
 – Scanners usb (Magellan, Honeywell, etc.)
• Implement hybrid database logic (local SQLite + cloud API sync).
• Support multi-device usage: Windows desktop, Android kiosk terminals, NO web versions.
• Improve stability, performance, and offline-first behavior.
• Assist with packaging (Electron build, installers, EXE/APK generation).
