Centralized Corporate Knowledge Base Platform - No WhatsUP messages (please)

The Corporate Knowledge Base project was launched to address an increasingly strategic need: to organize, structure, and enhance the company’s technical know-ledge assets. Over the years, the documentation produced by the technical area—configuration guidelines, hardening procedures, operational best practices, methodologies for the use of tools and materials, and onboarding materials for new hires—has grown signifi-cantly, making consumption complex and the sharing of know-how across teams and with new colleagues difficult.
To overcome this fragmentation, it was decided to design a centralized, intelligent, and go-verned platform capable of becoming the reference point for the creation, management, and retrieval of corporate information. The platform introduces a structured model that allows each Business Unit to define dedicated templates, customized taxonomies, and guided con-tent creation paths, ensuring consistency, metadata quality, and clear accountability in ma-naging the article lifecycle.
Although the initiative originated within the technical area, it is therefore positioned as a cross-functional enabler for the entire organization. Each Business Unit will be able to adopt the system to consolidate and make accessible its own knowledge, rules, and operating me-thods, promoting methodological consistency, error reduction, and greater operational effi-ciency.
At the same time, the Knowledge Base will represent the primary information engine of the corporate chatbot, which will be able to draw on certified and up-to-date content to provide fast, consistent, and comprehensive responses to internal or customer requests. Integration with AI technologies will also ensure semantic search capabilities, identification of related content, duplicate prevention, and intelligent support for the creation of new articles.
I would like to evaluate the possibility of implementing it on SharePoint Online. I am aware that this would be a compromise solution, as some of the functionalities outlined below are difficult to address with native SharePoint Online features; however, I would like to assess this option because I believe it could deliver an acceptable outcome with more controlled timelines and costs compared to a fully custom development.

Many of you are telling me that SharePoint Online doesn't offer the ability to simply fulfill some of the features listed, such as API integration with the external AI platform.
