Responsive Gaming Avatar Website

I want a fully responsive website where gamers can create an account, build or select an avatar, compare scores on a real-time leaderboard, and spend coins or real money on upgrades through a secure checkout. The entire experience must look and feel great on mobile first, scale flawlessly to desktop, and load fast even on slower connections.

Core flow
Users land on a clean lobby page, sign up or log in, pick or edit an avatar, then jump straight into game sessions that feed their statistics to a global leaderboard. Every match awards virtual currency that can be exchanged for skins, power-ups, or any other items we decide to stock in the store. Real payments should run through a proven gateway like Stripe or PayPal; virtual transactions need a simple balance system I can top up from an admin panel.

Tech preferences
I am open on the stack, but lean toward a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte paired with Node.js, Laravel, or Django on the back end. If you already have a different combination that delivers responsive HTML5, CSS3 (Tailwind or Bootstrap are fine), and a secure REST or GraphQL API, suggest it. Database can be MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB as long as it scales.
