Logo and Website Redesign - international organisation

Project Description

We would like to have a new logo and a website refresh for the Wassenaar Arrangement, an international organisation dealing with dual-use goods and technologies.

The logo and the website are supposed to be cohesive with the same font and colours, as we will be expanding this “branding“ later into brochures, presentations etc.

The mock-ups were done in Canva, here is the link: https://tinyurl.com/5n8nx3vd

Our current homepage is this: https://www.wassenaar.org/

We are hosting it ourselves with Wordpress and we have in-house IT programmers, so it's really about the design. The colours, fonts, etc. were kept intentionally neutral in the mock-ups, but we have the intention to make it a professional website of an international organisation especially for information purposes and academia. (Dark) blues and another contrasting colour probably, but feel free to play around with 2-3 colour scheme options.

The main “product“ that most website visitors are interested in are the “Control Lists“, followed by “Best Practices“. There are lots of comments explaining our ideas and preferences, so please make sure to have a look at them. We also have the goal to make the new homepage user-friendly and according to the latest EU-directive for accessibility.

Regarding the logo (page 7 on Canva), we'd like to create a new logo with the aquarelle painting as a base and our letters in Wiener Secession/Jugendstil/Wiener Werkstätte (important that it was used in Vienna, as the WA is based in Vienna). On page 7 you will find a screenshot of a preferred font and the flipped painting - while the photos of the painting are tower-roof, it's better to flip it to have roof-tower (the way it is on the homepage), to fit the “WA” nicely. But in the end, we are open to suggestions - considering that we are a technical organisation and have nothing to do with art etc., maybe the Wiener Secession font would be "too much"...

Also to bear in mind that we'd need to create a stamp out of it - an oval version and a square one to compare would be great.
