Automated Power Allocation Platform

Project Description

Right now every allocation, reconciliation, and customer report is driven out of a collection of Excel spreadsheets. I want a single web-based platform that ingests the daily QCA schedule file the moment it lands, matches each customer name to our master list, and then—using the latest SLDC meter data—calculates the exact pro-rata energy actually delivered to more than thirty customers spread across five plants.

The application must:

• Parse the raw Excel schedule automatically, validate that the plant totals equal scheduled generation, and raise an instant alert (email, pop-up, or SMS—your call) whenever there is any mismatch.
• Feed those validated numbers into a live dashboard so the team can see, in real-time, how each plant’s allocation is tracking.
• Compose one summary email per day that includes individual customer DGR sheets as separate attachments; the body should recap the overall allocation, while each attachment should show the customer’s own figures.
• Retain every day’s data so that, at month-end, I can run a one-click reconciliation against the SLDC meter download and export the results for finance.

Tech stack is up to you, yet it must remain readily maintainable—Python/Pandas + PostgreSQL + React or a comparable combo is fine. What matters is that the system eliminates our current manual steps, delivers 200× faster processing, and protects monthly revenue through error-free tracking.

Acceptance will be based on:
1. Successful automatic import and validation of a sample QCA schedule.
2. Immediate discrepancy alert when a deliberate mismatch is injected.
3. Daily email generated in the required “summary plus attachments” format.
4. Dashboard accuracy verified against Excel test data.
5. Month-end reconciliation report matching a provided SLDC file within ±0.01 MWh.

You’ll receive anonymised schedules, meter files, and our customer master to start; once the pilot passes the above checks, we’ll connect to production data. Show More
