Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack / DevOps Engineer to deploy and configure a modern corporate website with web-app functionality on Microsoft Azure.
This platform is primarily a high-performance marketing website designed to support SEO, AI Optimization (AIO), lead generation, and recruitment workflows, while also including supporting backend services and integrations.
The website will combine modern frontend technologies, structured content architecture, secure backend API integrations, and resilient infrastructure to ensure strong visibility in traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search platforms.
Your responsibilities will include setting up the Azure hosting environment, deploying the website, migrating existing API proxy functions into a backend service, integrating our CRM and recruitment platforms, implementing a content publishing/blog module, and configuring an edge security and performance layer to improve resilience, speed, and protection from malicious traffic.
We already have a mock-up website available that demonstrates the intended look, feel, layout, and interaction style. This should be used as inspiration and reference during implementation.
Important: Proven experience deploying websites or web applications on Microsoft Azure is required. Experience with Cloudflare, bot protection, CDN configuration, WAF policies, and SEO-conscious deployment architecture is highly preferred.
Technology Stack (Flexible)
We are open to recommendations for the frontend and backend stack. The implementation should prioritize:
Performance

AI search visibility
Security and resiliency
Maintainability and scalability
You may propose the most appropriate technologies based on these requirements.

Zoho (CRM and system integrations)

HeyMilo (Recruitment Career Module integration)
These systems will support both lead management and recruitment workflows, with the website acting as the primary frontend interface for capturing and routing data.

The platform must be deployed on:
Microsoft Azure
You will be responsible for recommending and configuring the most appropriate Azure architecture (VPS, App Service, or other suitable Azure services) for reliability, security, and performance.
Scope of Work
1. Azure Environment Setup & Deployment
Provision and configure a secure production environment on Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities include:
Deploying the website within an optimal Azure architecture
Configuring a production web server environment
Implementing security best practices and server hardening
Managing environment variables securely for API integrations
Configuring caching, compression, and performance optimization
Ensuring fast page delivery and strong infrastructure stability
2. Backend Service for API Integrations
The website currently uses serverless proxy functions to protect API keys. These should be migrated into a lightweight backend service.
Responsibilities include:
Building a backend layer to securely manage API calls
Supporting integrations for OpenAI, Zoho, Manatal, and HeyMilo
Ensuring secure handling of credentials and API requests
Implementing a reliable service architecture with automatic restart and uptime monitoring
Structuring the backend for long-term maintainability
3. CRM & Recruitment Integration
The website will serve as a frontend entry point for both lead generation and recruitment workflows.
Required integrations include:
Zoho CRM for lead capture and CRM workflows
Manatal ATS for applicant tracking
HeyMilo for the recruitment career module integration
Responsibilities include:
Connecting lead capture forms to Zoho
Enabling recruitment workflows through Manatal
Integrating the career module through HeyMilo
Ensuring secure API communication between the website and these systems
Supporting structured data flow for both leads and candidate applications
4. Blog / Content Publishing Module
Content publishing is essential for ongoing SEO growth and AI discoverability.
You will develop a simple CMS-style blog module that allows our team to easily publish blog posts and articles without developer involvement.
Requirements include:
Easy content publishing workflow
SEO-friendly rendering of blog pages
Clean URL structure optimized for search indexing
Smooth integration with the frontend website
Recommendation of the most efficient storage solution (database, markdown, or lightweight CMS)
5. Domain, Edge Security, CDN & Bot Protection
You will handle the production launch configuration, including domain routing, security hardening, and traffic protection.
Responsibilities include:
Connecting the custom domain to the Azure deployment
Configuring DNS settings
Installing SSL/TLS certificates
Setting up automatic certificate renewal where applicable
Configuring Cloudflare or a comparable edge platform in front of the Azure environment
Enabling CDN caching for static assets and performance improvement
Implementing Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections
Setting up rate limiting, bot mitigation, and anti-abuse protections for forms, APIs, and public-facing endpoints
Improving resilience against spam, scraping, malicious bots, and unwanted automated traffic
Ensuring legitimate crawlers such as Google, Bing, and AI search bots are not unintentionally blocked
Protecting the Azure origin infrastructure from unnecessary direct exposure where appropriate
Ensuring the website is fully served over HTTPS and follows production security best practices
6. SEO & AI Optimization (AIO) Compliance
A major focus of this project is ensuring the website performs strongly in both traditional search engines and AI search platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring proper crawlability and indexing
Serving dynamic sitemap.xml and robots.txt
Maintaining strong page load performance
Ensuring compatibility with AI crawlers and indexing systems
Structuring content and metadata for discoverability
Avoiding deployment patterns that block indexing or AI discovery
Preserving performance and accessibility while security protections are in place
The final deployment must support long-term SEO performance and AI-driven search visibility without compromising security or site speed.
7. Testing & Validation
Once deployed, the system must be fully tested.
This includes:
Testing all frontend routes and pages
Verifying all CRM and recruitment integrations
Testing backend API endpoints
Ensuring there are no CORS or latency issues
Validating the blog publishing system
Confirming stable site performance
Testing Cloudflare, WAF, caching, and rate-limiting rules
Verifying that legitimate crawlers and normal user traffic are not negatively impacted by security configurations
8. Documentation & Handover
This project requires a manual deployment with full documentation.
Deliverables must include:
Step-by-step server setup documentation
Environment variable and secrets management guide
DNS configuration documentation
Cloudflare / CDN / WAF / rate-limiting configuration notes
Instructions for future deployments or updates
Blog/CMS usage documentation
A final handover session will be required to walk our team through the production setup and ongoing management of the platform.
