Cabmaster Input Automation Software

Project Description

My team spends far too long turning ideas into Cabmaster projects, so I want a fully-automated bridge between “concept” and a ready-to-open .cab file. The goal is simple: speak, type, or sketch a cabinet brief and let the software create a dimensioned, material-aware design ready for Cabmaster without any hand editing.

Current environment
• All production drawings flow through Cabmaster.
• Critical input formats for the new tool are voice prompts, written prompts, and hand-drawn sketches. (3D renders are a nice-to-have, but not essential for the first release.)

Core requirements
The application must:
1. Capture those inputs (microphone, text box, tablet/camera scan).
2. Parse intent—dimensions, cabinet style, material, hardware—and validate against a ruleset we’ll provide.
3. Generate a Cabmaster-compatible file complete with part sizes, machining, and hardware references.
4. Run end-to-end with no manual intervention other than hitting “import” inside Cabmaster.

Acceptance criteria
• Voice, text, and sketch tests each produce a fully populated Cabmaster file matching the prompt within ±2 mm on dimensions.
• Materials and hardware selected in the prompt map 1:1 to our Cabmaster libraries.
• Average processing time from input to exported file ≤60 seconds on a standard workstation.
• Clear documentation of tech stack, setup, and how to extend for future 3D render inputs.

Please detail the approach you’d take (e.g., speech-to-text engine, vision model for sketches, conversion logic) and any previous experience tying custom code into Cabmaster or similar platforms. I’m ready to move quickly once we agree on a practical roadmap. Show More
