WordPress Sports News Blog Build
Project Description
Daily sports articles and breaking news will drive the core of this site, so the WordPress theme has to put written content first while making room for strategically placed banner ads. All page layouts are already finished in Photoshop and will be supplied as layered PSD files; the job centres on translating those designs into a fast, responsive WordPress build.
Key deliverables
• Pixel-perfect theme based on the supplied PSDs (desktop, tablet, mobile breakpoints).
• Custom post type or well-structured blog template that highlights articles and news updates.
• Multiple ad slots exactly where the mock-ups show them (header, sidebar, in-content and footer). An easy-to-manage interface for swapping creatives is essential.
• Clean code, SEO-friendly structure and sensible plugin choices; Elementor, Gutenberg blocks or a lightweight page-builder are all acceptable as long as performance stays high.
• Basic editorial guidelines set up in the back-end so writers can publish quickly without breaking layout consistency.
The design does not currently include live scores, comment sections or multimedia galleries, but the build should leave room for those enhancements later.
