Fractional CIO for Systems Integration

Project Description

I am CEO over several hybrid-fiber and fixed-wireless builds that have grown quickly, leaving our customer, billing and network tools running in separate silos. My immediate goal is simple: pull everything together so data flows cleanly from order entry through billing and into network operations, without manual re-keying or conflicting records.

The environment you will be shaping includes the following platforms and vendors: Giia, NetSuite, Vetro, Nautobot, Adtran, Ciena and Mosaic, alongside the existing customer management, billing and network management systems. I need an experienced, part-time CIO-level architect who can:

• Map the current state of each system, their data models and APIs.
• Design an integration architecture that lets these tools exchange data reliably and in near-real time.
• Recommend whether we lean on native connectors, custom APIs or middleware, and specify the security and governance model.
• Create a phased implementation roadmap I can hand to my internal dev/ops teams.

Acceptance criteria:
1. A clear architecture diagram and written specification covering data flow, ownership and fault handling.
2. A step-by-step rollout plan with milestones, risk mitigation and estimated level of effort.
3. A proof-of-concept showing at least one end-to-end transaction (e.g., customer order → billing entry → network activation) flowing automatically across the chosen systems.

Telecom or ISP experience is strongly preferred, as is hands-on familiarity with NetSuite integrations and vendor-specific network controllers. If you can demonstrate previous work unifying similar stacks, I’m ready to get started. Show More
