Co-Founder Opportunity — Backend Developer (Equity-Based Startup)

I am building an AI-powered cloud hosting platform for African developers — think AWS and Firebase but simpler, cheaper, and built from Africa for the world.

This is an EQUITY-BASED opportunity. You will not receive a cash salary. Instead you will receive an ownership stake in the company, meaning you profit directly as the platform grows and scales globally.

ABOUT THE PLATFORM

We are building a cloud hosting platform where developers can deploy their apps with one click, connect their GitHub, and get a live URL instantly. The platform will eventually include database hosting, full backend services, and an AI-powered app builder. We are starting with Phase 1 — simple app hosting — and growing from there.

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

• User authentication system (signup, login, sessions)
• GitHub API integration to pull and deploy repos automatically
• Coolify API connection to manage actual deployments on our servers
• Payment integration with Stripe and Flutterwave for subscriptions
• Database architecture using PostgreSQL or Supabase
• REST APIs that the frontend dashboard consumes
• Server monitoring, logging, and error handling systems

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Strong experience with Node.js or Python
• PostgreSQL or Supabase database experience
• Docker knowledge (Coolify runs on Docker)
• Linux server administration basics
• REST API design and development
• Experience with payment gateway integrations
• Portfolio or GitHub profile showing real backend projects
• Someone detail-oriented, reliable, and excited to build infrastructure
