Dynamic Bank-Linked Dashboard

Project Description

I want a web-based dashboard that pulls my clients’ financial information together in one place, updates in real time, and presents insights through clean charts and graphs—bar graphs in particular. All data is sensitive, so every step must respect strict security and privacy standards.

Data connections
• A Plaid integration will retrieve live bank and credit-card data for each client.
• Additional records sit in our cloud storage (currently Amazon S3, though I’m open to Google Cloud Storage if that simplifies your stack). The dashboard should fetch, merge, and display both sources seamlessly.

Visual layer
Financial data displayed like budgets and estimated taxes. Bar graphs are the primary format because they let my clients compare spending categories and cash-flow trends at a glance. If you think a complementary line or pie chart would sharpen specific views, feel free to suggest it, but the bar graphs are non-negotiable.

Core requirements
• Secure user authentication and role-based access so each client only sees their own data.
• Real-time or near-real-time refresh without forcing a full page reload.
• A responsive interface that works on desktop and tablet.
• Clear documentation covering API credentials, environment variables, and a quick-start guide for future maintenance.

Deliverables
1. Source code and deployable package (React + Node preferred, but I’m flexible).
2. Infrastructure instructions (Docker compose or similar) showing how to spin up the service, connect Plaid, and point to the cloud bucket.
3. README with setup, security notes, and troubleshooting tips.
4. A brief hand-off call or recorded walkthrough.

Acceptance criteria
• A demo client can log in, authorize Plaid, and immediately see their latest transactions aggregated and visualized as bar graphs.
• Latency for a data refresh stays under five seconds.
• No console or server errors in a production build.

If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s get started—I’m ready to review a timeline and move quickly. Show More
