Full‑Scope Middleware & GoHighLevel API Developer (Remote)

We are Sarkis AI Inc., an automation agency at the intersection of precision healthcare and business technology. We need a highly skilled developer (or small team) to build a robust event‑driven middleware that seamlessly integrates our GoHighLevel CRM with a bespoke AI‑powered decision layer. This is a full‑scope project with clear milestones – from architecture through deployment – not a piecemeal or consulting engagement.

What You’ll Build

Custom Middleware: A secure, scalable application (language of your choice) that receives and normalises CRM events via webhooks, stores them in a database, prevents duplicate processing, and makes decisions using deterministic rules and controlled AI logic.
GoHighLevel Integration: Complete API integration to create/update contacts, opportunities, tags and custom fields in GoHighLevel, with strong logging, retry and audit‑trail features.
AI Decision Layer: Integrate a modern LLM or similar to assist with decision‑making. AI must emit structured JSON, respect predefined rules, and always be subject to human‑override when needed.
Security & Compliance: Implement secure credential handling, data encryption and logging practices appropriate for sensitive healthcare and business data.
Testing & Documentation: Deliver unit/integration tests, clear technical documentation, and deployment scripts/notes.
What We’re Looking For

Demonstrable experience building GoHighLevel API integrations and handling its webhooks.
Solid backend expertise (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.) with event queues, retry/idempotency strategies and structured logging.
Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs or similar AI models into production systems.
Ability to design for reliability, scalability and data privacy.
Excellent communication; able to articulate architecture and progress in writing.
Nice to Have

Knowledge of healthcare data handling standards (HIPAA or similar).
Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP or Azure).
Engagement Details

Milestone‑based contract: No large upfront consultation fees. Each milestone is paid upon delivery of working code.
One accountable builder: We are not splitting the work across multiple freelancers. You (or your small team) will own the architecture, build, integration and handover.
Remote: You can be based anywhere, as long as you can work within North American time zones for occasional meetings.
