Open-Source SaaS Platform Customization & Integrations

I already host an open-source platform in a SaaS environment and now need it tailored so it follows my product vision more closely. The codebase itself is solid; the next step is to adjust it and bolt on the right integrations so the service feels seamless to end-users.

Core focus
• Map my business logic to the existing code, refactoring only where absolutely necessary so future upgrades remain straightforward.
• Build out secure, well-documented connections to the external services I specify (think payment, CRM, email or other APIs—I’ll confirm the exact stack with you once we start).
• Keep the UI intact for now; this phase is all about reliable third-party integrations and the back-end hooks that make them work.

Process I have in mind

3. Implement, test, and push to staging.
4. Walk me through the code and deployment steps so future teammates can follow along.

Acceptance criteria

– No hard-coded keys; use environment variables.
– Unit or functional tests prove each integration path.
– Deployment script or CI job can rebuild the stack from scratch.
