Founding Full Stack Engineer

I’m assembling the core team behind MachSeven, an advanced real-time adaptive learning engine, and need a mid-level full-stack engineer who can work onsite in Bangalore from day one. The role is permanent and full-time, offering monthly compensation in the 1.5 – 2 L INR range.

Our primary concern right now is the accuracy of knowledge-tracing, so every architectural decision has to maintain rock-solid data fidelity while still hitting sub-200 ms response times. You’ll take ownership of the entire flow, but I expect you to shine most on the front end with Next.js 15 and TypeScript—these are the pillars of our learner-facing experience. On the back end we rely on FastAPI, PostgreSQL, WebSockets, Cloudflare Stream, and Razorpay for payments.

Core scope
• Design and evolve the database schema and API layer so they scale seamlessly as we migrate our knowledge-tracing models from classical approaches to deep learning.
• Optimise every request path for latency, instrumenting performance to guarantee the <200 ms target.
• Integrate real-time transport over WebSockets and video delivery through Cloudflare Stream without breaking UX.
• Collaborate closely with me on product decisions, shaping the roadmap from proof-of-concept to production launch.

Acceptance criteria
• End-to-end flow—from Next.js front end through FastAPI to PostgreSQL—responds within 200 ms under realistic load.
• Knowledge-tracing data is captured and exposed for model training with zero loss.
• Codebase is fully typed (TypeScript / Pydantic) and covered by tests that run in CI.
