iOS & Android Marketplace App Development

I’m building a mobile marketplace, much like Facebook Marketplace, and I need the full app created for both iOS and Android. The heart of the product is smooth listing-and-browsing: sellers post items, buyers explore them through robust search, filters, and well-structured categories and sub-categories.

Beyond discovery, I also want direct, real-time messaging between buyers and sellers so deals can be struck without leaving the app. Once they agree on a price, an in-app payment gateway must securely process the transaction while automatically withholding the platform’s commission before funds reach the seller. Think Stripe Connect, PayPal Adaptive, or a comparable split-payment solution—whichever you’re most comfortable with and is available in my region.

While user reviews and ratings are not phase-one requirements, I’d like the codebase architected so that feature can be dropped in later without major refactoring.

Deliverables I expect:
• Universal (iOS + Android) app built natively or with a performant cross-platform stack such as React Native or Flutter
• Seller and buyer flows covering item creation, editing, browsing, and chat
• Integrated split-payment checkout that captures my commission automatically
• Secure backend (Node, Django, or similar) with database schemas for listings, chats, transactions, and payouts
• Admin console for managing categories, sub-categories, dispute resolution, and commission percentages
• Deployment support through App Store and Google Play approval

Acceptance criteria: every payment must clear end-to-end in a sandbox test, chat must deliver in <3 seconds, and search must return relevant results under 1 second for a dataset of 10 k listings.
