WordPress Multisite Multi-Tenant Setup

I need a robust WordPress Multisite (WPMS) network that lets me spin up and manage many tenant sites from one core installation. Each tenant will publish news-style and other media-rich content, yet they must also be able to sell digital or physical items directly from their own storefront.

Key functional requirements
• Custom payment gateways
• Product customization options for shoppers before checkout
• A flexible membership system that can be enabled per tenant

Scope of Work & Core Technical Deliverables:
1. WordPress Multisite Core Setup: Configure a robust, secure WPMS infrastructure utilizing mapped custom domains (e.g., .com, .de, .co.uk). Implement strict database prefix separation and optimization to prevent lag across 80+ active properties.
2. 8 Master Blueprint Theme Development: Develop 8 custom, ultra-lightweight block themes natively utilizing the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg / Full-Site Editing). The use of bloated visual page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
3. Automated Site Cloning Architecture: Implement and configure an enterprise multi-site cloning deployment pipeline (e.g., NS Cloner Pro or similar). We must be able to spin up a new site clone from a master blueprint in under 5 minutes, dynamically altering global branding using CSS Variables/theme.json.
4. Monetization & Layout Engineering:
o Integrate advanced content-gating and tiered subscription paywalls (MemberPress Developer Tier).
o Configure layouts for Asynchronous Script Loading to accommodate premium programmatic ad stacks (Raptive/Mediavine) on entertainment nodes without blocking primary text rendering.
5. Stripe API & International Tax Routing: Deep integration of the Stripe Billing and Stripe Tax APIs. The system must handle cross-border B2B "Reverse Charge" logic and B2C M5 transactional tax tracking, while dynamically passing metadata to swap statement descriptors per active domain.
6. Multi-Server DevOps & Edge Caching: Deploy the network onto a containerized, auto-scaling cloud environment (Kinsta Enterprise or Cloudways Autonomous). Configure advanced server-level object caching (Redis/Varnish) to sync flawlessly with Cloudflare Edge Cache Rules to fully decouple public content delivery from the origin database.



Acceptance criteria
• Experience: years of verified experience building enterprise-scale WordPress architectures, multi-tenant SaaS/WaaS frameworks, or large-scale digital publishing nodes.
• Backend Proficiency: Advanced PHP, MySQL optimization, REST API integration, and custom plugin development.
• Frontend Proficiency: Modern Javascript (React/Vanilla), semantic HTML5, clean CSS/SASS variables, and deep mastery of native Gutenberg blocks.
• DevOps Skills: Expertise with AWS or Google Cloud, Kubernetes container environments, Git version control, and advanced Cloudflare Enterprise routing.
• Performance Focus: A proven track record of hitting 90+ mobile performance scores on Google PageSpeed Insights.
