Project Description

When you reply, open with the database engine you would pick to handle at least 15 million searchable phone-number records and explain your choice in one sentence.

I’m starting with an Android release built in Flutter because I want a single codebase that can later serve an iOS build (and maybe Huawei) without re-writing the core logic. Above everything, the app has to feel lightning-fast: sub-second searches, instant screen transitions, and a contact-sync flow that never makes the user wait.

Scope of work
• API-first architecture: one REST/GraphQL endpoint powering every future client.
• Search module: query by number or by name, Arabic and English results, full RTL support, and fuzzy matching that still returns in milliseconds.
• Contact-sync engine: after explicit consent, upload the address book one way, merge names intelligently, de-duplicate, and log every action for transparency.
• Data pipeline: bulk import Excel sheets, validate rows, process them, and generate a downloadable report that flags duplicates and malformed entries.
• Business directory: separate entity type with its own fields and filters, exposed through the same API.
• Admin panel (web): manage users, moderate submissions, trigger bulk imports, and view analytics.

Key acceptance criteria
1. End-to-end search of 15 M records under 300 ms on mid-range devices.
2. Arabic UI renders right-to-left perfectly; English switches left-to-right with no layout breaks.
3. Contact-sync respects Android’s runtime permission model and never pushes data back to the device.
4. Clean Flutter codebase, modular and test-covered, ready for iOS export.
5. Dockerised backend with clear build/run instructions.
