Senior Django SaaS Continuation & Deployment
Project Description
Our SaaS web application—written in Python with a Django back-end—is close to launch, but progress has stalled with our current vendor. I need an experienced Python developer (minimum five years working hands-on with Django) to take full ownership of the remaining work, stabilise the codebase, and push us through to production.
The immediate priorities are:
• Bug fixing across existing modules so we enter QA with a clean slate.
• Building a short list of new features that have already been specced but not yet started.
• Preparing the application for reliable deployment and horizontal scaling on AWS, then executing that rollout.
Beyond this, you will be asked to:
• Add new software options as business needs arise.
• Create operational and management reports directly from the live database.
The current repository is on Git, CI/CD hooks are in place, and staging servers are ready for your first deploy. Code must be clean, well-documented, and aligned with Django best practices so that future contributors can pick it up without friction.
